We’re a gluttonous people, humanity
With our various shades of insanity,
And yet when rationing came
And things stayed the same
It fed right into our vanity.
Then nothing was done,
And with no reason to run,
We broke into stores long since looted.
We embraced chaotic lawlessness
With joyful flawlessness
And our sense of order was muted.
Elections were canceled.
Schools were no longer in session.
And the restaurants were closed.
No liquor stores,
And nothing to do on the weekend.
Which returns us to gluttonous humanity,
With our laughable Judeo-Christianity
Sitting home with our children
Numbering north of two billion
We shout out our lives are profanity.
